Kristina Dufková


Director, artist, animator. She graduated from the Film School in Písek and then from FAMU in Prague. She has received number of awards for her animated films. Her film From the Lives of Mothers (2005) was awarded the first prize at the London International Animation Festival (LIAF 2006). A Tear Is Needed (2009) became the best Czech animated film at Anifest 2009 in Trebon. In 2011, she made a contribution as a director to the film Fimfarum 3 (How the Ogres Died Out in the Mountains). In 2016, she completed a short cartoon film about SLP Do not Call Me Panda, my name is Fanda, she made a puppet stories for Czech Television Stories About Mum And Dad and she is currently preparing a feature-length puppet film Život k sežrání. In addition to working on animated films, she illustrates, draws, paints, writes, takes care of children and she knows how to sail a boat.

Roberto Paganelli


Born in Bologna (Italy) in 1968, he graduated in 1994 at Bologna University in Arts, Music and Performing Arts (DAMS) with a thesis in documentary cinema. Since 1996, he develops and realizes educational courses on cinema, deals with video production, film distribution and organizes events related to film culture.

In 2006 he founded OTTOmani Association that develops workshops and educational programs of animated cinema, distribution and production of Italian animated short movies. From 2010 he collaborates to realize and publish “Animazioni” – the collection of Italian contemporary animated short movies that will reach soon the 5th episode. Together with the operators of OTTOmani association, Roberto Paganelli has made – until now – more than 150 short films in many workshops held in Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Kosovo, Germany, France, Poland, Russia and Austria.

Paulina Zacharek


Paulina Zacharek is a Master of History of Arts, alumni of Postgraduate Studies for Museum Curators at Jagiellonian University, curator; from 2010 to 2015 manager of Se-ma-for Museum of Animation, originator and coordinator of numerous film education projects (Animation – a World of Never-ending Possibilities”, “Se-ma-for Film Festival ON TOUR”, “Eye and Ear. Review of animated and documentary films with audio description”, “Se-ma-for On Tour 2014”), co-organizer and coordinator of educational activities of Se-ma-for European/Asian Express 2011 and Junior Se-ma-for Film Festival, organizer of cultural events, currently co-owner & head of cinema distribution & film education at Momakin.Responsible for preparation and coordination of animation workshops for both children and adults, and education events for professionals. Co-organizer of AnimArt (International Festival of Animation Art in Lodz, Poland) & programmer of education events at the festival.

The 12th Animanie Festival will be held in Pilsen (Cultural centre Moving Station) between 16th November and 19th November, 2017.

This year’s topic is  A DREAM.

As usually the competition will be divided into these age groups: MINI (up to 13 years), MIDI (14-18 years), MAXI (19-26 years).
